I am so glad I read this book I was very disappointed in Vanity and I reviewed it negatively However I do think that this book was fair I cringed and braced myself in defensive mode fully expecting to hear slandering of TA However this book outlined the trial and the victimmurderer in a much balanced and organized way I am not anti Jodi I am pro justice and therefore I do side with Travis HoweverI agree that TA was mentally and verbally abusive towards Jodi I agree with the authors analysis of both TA and JA s upbringings and the effect that they had on them However not everyone who was neglected or abused goes on to murder people who they ALLOW to mistreat them That is the key word Jodi was not financially or legally tied to Travis they did not have children and she had moved over 1000 miles away She was not in danger She is intelligent and had family support I wish that she had realized that Instead she went on to murder a man who overcame his barriers and was trying to make his life better She ruined so many lives including her own She was beautiful intelligent and articulate This book analyzes and gives an in depth explanation as to why that just wasn t enough Well done
